Rose Madame Rouge wins
25 January 2012
eFIG member Frosts have named a new rose courtesy of one of their customers who entered their competition.
To celebrate their 65th birthday, Frosts offered customers a chance to name a rose after themselves and give the reason why. Jan Redding from Milton Keynes named the gorgeous red rose Madame Rouge though Frosts haven’t revealed her reasoning.
Frosts received 100s of entries which were whittled down to ten; the growers Wharton’s Roses chose Jan’s entry as the winner.
Jeremy Frost presented Jan with two Madame Rouges as her prize. Jeremy predicts that Madame Rouge will be popular with customers; it will be available from Frosts in the spring.
