Most new laws affecting businesses come into force on one of two common commencement dates (CCDs) each year - 6 April and 1 October.

In addition, the European Commission is currently trialling two dates each year for European Union (EU) legislation - 29 April and 29 October.

If your company has fewer than 50 employees in your PAYE scheme on 31 October 2010 YOU MUST for year 2011-12

- file your starter and leaver information (P45 Part 1, P45 Part 3, P46(Pen) and P46(Expat)) on line
and
file your Employer Annual Return (P35 and P14s) on line by 19 May.

YOU MIGHT BE CHARGED PENALTIES IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS.
