eFIG Training
One of eFIG’s core objectives is to raise standards within the Interior Landscaping industry, and a comprehensive, bespoke training programme has been devised to cover all subjects within the trade. The courses are specifically designed for the Interior Landscaping industry, and as such all content is relevant and essential in the progression of interior landscapers.
Training is offered to both members and non-members, with members receiving significant discounts and priority booking.
New eFIG Accreditation
The new accreditation is divided into 4 sections:
- Horticulture Skills;
- Health & Safety;
- Sales & Marketing;
- Management.
Each of these sections contributes towards 25% of the overall accreditation, and any member who has completed 75% or more across all the sections becomes an eFIG Accredited Member. This isn’t to say that all training has to be completed again, because we’re accepting any eFIG training done from 2005 onwards. These will be automatically added to each member’s profile, and all Accredited Members will receive a Certificate. Each year, newly Accredited Members will receive an award at the annual awards ceremony.
The old eFIG accreditation course has changed and is now known as the Horticulture Skills Accreditation, which is divided into 4 modules:
Module 1: Knowing your plants.
Mod 2: Maintenance Techniques.
Mod 3: Design.
Mod 4: Pests & Diseases.
Upon completion of all 4 modules, each participant will be recognised as ‘Horticulture Skills Accredited’ and a certificate will be issued.
All members who have completed the old eFIG accreditation in the last 5 years will automatically receive the new Hort. Skills Accreditation.
Health & Safety is usually completed in-house as part of new starters’ inductions. If this is the case, H&S Accreditation will be awarded to members who can supply proof of an induction with a recognised HSE body or qualified person.
