This year's Award Ceremony took place on Wednesday 13th April at the Apex Rooms, Olympia following the first day of the new trade show the Landscape Show.
The accolade of Lifetime Achievement went to Nina Lockyer of Flora-Tec Ltd who was very surprised to receive the Award not least because she said that she was far too young!!!
13 maybe unlucky for some but there were 51 well deserved winners at this year's ceremony who couldn't have thought that the number 13 was unlucky.
It was an evening of celebration in true eFIG style. The organisation itself was celebrating its 10th anniversary and launched a book to commemorate this anniversary highlighting members’ achievements over the years.
Joanna Hargreaves who has been eFIG’s administrator since its inception and has worked with six chairmen and committees over the years also received a mention for her services to the organisation and received a 3-D picture in recognition.
The evening, themed a as a Garden Party, started with a Pimms and sparkling wine reception whilst some of the members played garden games. During dinner, members and guests were crooned to by singer Joe Jones and after the actual Award ceremony, many members danced the night away.
“It’s was a great fun evening as usual,” commented chairman Thomas Palfreyman, “Members were recognised for their achievements throughout the year and then partied!”
