For the last month (ending weekend 10th June), Chelsea Fringe has been taking the UK’s love of gardening and its favourite garden show, Chelsea out and about in London.
We reported on Andy Sturgeon’s great garden in a London Eye Pod but now here’s a quick review of what you missed.
All around London gardening focused projects were on show; anything from community gardens and allotments to pop-ups and workshops. One of eFIG’s members, Clifton Nurseries took part with a pop-up flower shop in fashion store COS in Knightsbridge.
There were workshops for healthy cookery, drawing and seed-bomb making, garden walking tours and open gardens, garden sculptures, a wheelbarrow garden procession, poetry, concerts, exhibitions and a pop-up restaurant in an allotment.
Gardening and related subjects were explored in likely and unlikely spaces. If you missed it this year, make a note to check out the dates for next year. Or maybe you’d like to enter next year’s Fringe?
